Reflection Essay

Genre: The characteristic of my essay was I slowly put my own feelings into it because I did slowly get irritated by how boring and horrible a lab report can go. It was a pain in the first place to just get articles and used that for my essay.

Exigence: What motivated me the most was to know how badly or well I did on my essay. It was hard because there wasn’t a sample or real criteria on what exactly needed to be done. The same goes for previous assignments and I tend to always do my best whenever there’s a sample to know what I must do to pass. The sample of the thesis helped severely because I have never done a thesis the way we were supposed to for the assignment.  

Purpose:  I hoped to accomplish the hardest part to do in this course. I’m not really a fan of all of this research stuff because it isn’t what I’m interested in. It’s a reason why I’m looking forward to the next assignment to do what I’m curious about.

Audience: The audience for my essay would be the writers of the paper because what my essay really was, was a criticism, especially of the one lab report I disliked the most.

Context: My relation to all this is to just improve in writing because it’s something I’ve never really been good at. I always get surpassed when I get higher than an 80 because that’s what I’ve always received.

What the RA did: This assignment made me realize to not procrastinate and to take advantage of every minute given. Researching takes a lot of effort because the right source can make a difference. Saves time and gives exactly what you need. Information matters more than visual appealing sources.

The genre of the Proposal assignment can be seen as science fiction. Nothing is being implemented but it’s all backed up by real technological information. The research was made to convey a firm idea and its process.

            My motivation to accomplish this assignment is to become a collaborative team but sadly didn’t come upon that path. Everything was pretty much done with a base, but the only issue was completing it. Members failed to finish the roles given to each other. The establishment of roles gave me most of my motivation as I trusted my members to do their part.

            I hoped to fulfill every part of the criteria and everything to be ahead of time. Failure to do that showed as a group member waited till the last hours before midnight to proceed with their role. Other than that, I wanted to see how far my idea can go with a proposal and presentation.

The audience of the proposal would be people interested in innovation for the future. In 2020, it was expected of a whole new world to be crafted but no progress has been vast for that. I feel strongly among changing roads is the start of a variety of other innovations to hop on the beginning of something new. A connection to the audience will hopefully understand where my intentions seem reasonable to follow.

This assignment helped me with learning to always get things done, and not to rely on others for anything. Learning from previous assignments helped to complete this one as it seemed to be a piece from all writing pieces.

Reflection for Technical Description

The features of my essay heavily depended on the use of images. The essay was to be 7 pages and a picture or 2 took up at least half the page and it gave me the confidence to be able to write my technical description to the requirements. Since everything is a new format to me, it’s hard to remember what must be there. Even though there’s a sample online it isn’t quite useful when it’s filled with complexity or not having simple examples. I just remembered that I forgot to have a heading/top note for my paper which makes me more worried.

            Using something that I use every day made this assignment easier for me as I knew what I was dealing with. I like to play video games and to grant some sort of advantage I use an ethernet cable and it also helps with downloading new games that I like to try. Breaking objects apart was in my interest ever since I had plastic toys that are disposed of by entering 25 cents into a slot. They were light-up rings, and it has some engineering to permit the emitting of visuals.

As writing this essay I tried to accomplish this being my best paper for the semester. I have been lacking in everything and even in my previous reflection, like how. I just hope to become better and better the more work is done, along with that is the perk of mastering the use of APA format.
